Kinetic Art
For the last several years, I have incorporated motion into my works by creating pieces that are technically called kinetic artworks. They investigate the fourth dimension through the additional element of movement. To me, these pieces are natural outgrowths of my earlier, non-kinetic paintings and sculptures.
As in my earlier work, I try to express my fascination with nature and with life. I am interested in the cyclical character of many natural phenomena. The sun rises and sets, then rises again; the seasons pass, but they return. Though one needs to accept the finite nature of one’s own trail, it is reassuring to be part of this perpetuity if only for a short time.
